Marvin Elabi’s career has been shaped by movement, ambition, and the ability to build across different markets.
Based between Dubai and Riyadh, Marvin is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Decisive Partners, the Saudi-focused advisory practice within the Decisive Group. The firm supports international companies, investors, regulated institutions, and family offices entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, helping them move from market interest to regulatory implementation and operational readiness.
His story is not one of a traditional corporate path. It is the story of someone who has built his career across countries, sectors, and business environments.
Having lived in 11 countries, speaking five languages, and coming from both Scottish and Lebanese heritage, Marvin brings a global perspective to the way he works and builds relationships. His journey has taken him from Sweden to Germany, then to France, and later to Dubai, where he continued to shape his career in one of the world’s most dynamic business hubs.
Early Career in Sweden
Marvin spent 10 years of his life in Sweden, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in International Marketing in Växjö and began building the foundation for his professional career.
His early career started in the technology and private equity space, where he worked with private equity firms, venture capital funds, and investors on deal flow sourcing. He was also involved in introductions between General Partners and Limited Partners, gaining early exposure to investor relations, capital markets, and cross-border business development.
That experience shaped the way he looks at business today. It taught him how investors assess opportunities, how relationships are built, and how important timing, trust, and access can be when operating across markets.
Before relocating to Dubai, Marvin also started his first consulting company in Sweden. It was his first step into entrepreneurship and gave him a direct understanding of what it means to build something from the ground up.
From Europe to the Middle East
After Sweden, Marvin’s journey continued through Germany and France. He later completed his MBA in Paris, further strengthening his international outlook and exposure to different cultures, markets, and ways of doing business.
That international foundation became an important part of his professional identity. It gave him the ability to understand different client mindsets, communicate across cultures, and adapt quickly to new environments.
Marvin eventually moved to the Middle East, where his career began to take a stronger regional focus.
Building a Career Between Saudi Arabia and Dubai
After moving to the region, Marvin began working as a senior consultant with a leading incubator and business accelerator in Saudi Arabia. His role focused on supporting entrepreneurs, investors, and international companies with business setup, structuring, and expansion requirements.
This gave him early exposure to Saudi Arabia’s business ecosystem and the practical needs of companies looking to enter and scale in the Kingdom.
Dubai later became a turning point in his career, giving him access to a fast-moving regional business environment where founders, investors, and international groups were actively looking for ways to enter and scale across the Middle East.
Over time, Marvin progressed from senior consultant to director, taking on greater responsibility across client advisory, business development, and strategic growth. That period helped him move from execution into leadership and gave him a deeper understanding of the regional business setup and expansion landscape.
It also gave him first-hand exposure to the challenges companies face when entering new markets: unclear regulation, fragmented processes, banking delays, licensing complexity, and the need for trusted local execution.
Joining Decisive and Expanding Into Saudi Arabia
Marvin later joined Decisive, the wider group behind decisive.ae, where he became part of the group’s next phase of growth.
As Saudi Arabia continued to attract international attention under Vision 2030, the opportunity became clear. More companies were looking at the Kingdom, but many did not know how to enter the market correctly, structure their presence, or move from interest to implementation.
Marvin led Decisive Group’s expansion into Saudi Arabia, shaping the commercial direction, client advisory model, and market positioning required to serve companies entering the Kingdom.
That work eventually led to the creation of Decisive Partners, where Marvin became Managing Partner and co-founder.
Building Decisive Partners
Decisive Partners was created to support companies entering Saudi Arabia with more than basic setup assistance. The firm was built around a more strategic need: helping clients understand the market, structure their entry, and execute the regulatory and operational steps required to establish a real presence in the Kingdom.
The practice supports clients across market entry strategy, MISA licensing, commercial registration, Articles of Association formalisation, statutory activation, government portal administration, banking readiness, visa and iqama processes, Saudization support, and long-term operational coordination.
For Marvin, the objective is clear: help clients enter Saudi Arabia properly, avoid costly delays, and build structures that can support real commercial growth.
“Saudi Arabia is one of the most exciting markets in the region, but it requires the right preparation,” Marvin says. “Our role is to give clients clarity, structure, and execution so they can enter the market with confidence.”
Saudi Arabia as a Growth Market
Saudi Arabia is now one of Marvin’s main professional focuses.
As the Kingdom continues to open new sectors and attract global investment, companies from around the world are exploring how to build a presence there. The opportunity is significant, but the process requires local understanding, correct sequencing, and practical execution.
Through Decisive Partners, Marvin works with clients to simplify that journey. His role is to help them understand what needs to happen, what decisions need to be made, and how to move through the process in a way that supports long-term business objectives.
The firm’s work is particularly relevant for multinational companies, family offices, regulated businesses, and investors who need a structured approach to Saudi market entry.
A Global Background With Regional Focus
Marvin’s international background remains one of his strongest advantages.
Having lived across different countries and worked with people from different cultures, he understands how international clients think and what they need when entering unfamiliar markets. That perspective allows him to bridge the gap between global expectations and local realities.
His approach is direct, practical, and relationship-driven. He focuses on helping clients make decisions with clarity, while ensuring the execution behind those decisions is handled properly.
Beyond the Business Profile
Marvin is also known online as lifeofmarvinn, where his personal brand reflects travel, lifestyle, and the international nature of his life.
But the lifestyle element is not the foundation of his story. It is a reflection of a life built across borders, shaped by movement, ambition, and connection.
Behind the online presence is a career built on discipline, entrepreneurship, and regional business growth. For Marvin, the focus remains on building something meaningful, supporting clients, and creating long-term value across the Middle East.
What Comes Next
As the UAE and Saudi Arabia continue to attract entrepreneurs, investors, and global companies, Marvin is focused on growing Decisive Partners into a trusted advisory name for Saudi market entry and regional expansion.
His journey is still evolving, but the direction is clear.
From Sweden to Germany, France, and later the Middle East, from technology and private equity to Saudi Arabia’s incubator and business accelerator ecosystem, and now as Managing Partner and co-founder of Decisive Partners, Marvin Elabi’s story is one of international growth, entrepreneurship, and building across borders with purpose.
